what this is
circle jerk is a private tool for the people who live in one house. It is not open to the public and there is no way to sign up: an email has to already be on the house list before Google sign-in will work at all. Anyone else is turned away at the moment they try.
what it keeps
- Your Google account's email address and name, handed over when you sign in. That is the whole of what Google tells us — we never see your password.
- What you type in: which programs you have joined, the referral codes and links you paste, the status of each one, any notes, the payout amounts and dates you record, and the referral categories you have opted out of.
- If you turn on notifications: the push endpoint your browser issues, the two keys needed to encrypt a message to it, and the browser's user-agent string. Turning notifications off deletes that record.
- Ordinary web server logs kept by the host — IP address, time, and the path requested.
what it does not do
No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no third-party scripts. Nothing here is sold, rented, or handed to the referral programs themselves. The app never asks for a password, a bank account, a card number, or a government ID, and it never signs you up for anything — every signup is something a person does themselves, on the program's own site.
who else touches it
- Google — sign-in only.
- Supabase — stores the database and runs the sign-in sessions.
- Vercel — hosts the site and keeps the request logs.
- Your browser's push service (Apple, Google, or Mozilla, depending on the browser) — only if you turned notifications on, and only to carry the encrypted message.
- Discord — if the house has a channel webhook configured, short activity notes are posted to that one private channel.
- An AI model, used to read publicly posted referral-program pages and keep the program list current. It is never sent anything about a member.
who in the house can see what
Everyone in the house sees the house's activity — who is enrolled in what, what has been paid, and where everyone sits on the leaderboard. That shared ledger is the entire point of the app, so treat anything you record as visible to your housemates. The database refuses to hand any of it to someone who is not a member.
keeping it and deleting it
Records stay while you are in the house. Ask whoever runs it to remove you and your member record goes, taking your enrollments and payouts with it. Push subscriptions are deleted the moment you switch notifications off. To ask for any of this, or to ask what is held about you, write to circlejerkpartyapp@gmail.com.
